In order for your companion doll to give you long-lasting joy it will need a little care from time to time. In this guide, we detail what works and what doesn't.
1. The doll's skin needs regular care
Some of our lifelike sexdolls are made of high-quality TPE (thermoplastic elastomers). This material is beautifully soft, skin-like and supple, and feels extremely lifelike. It is also durable and sturdy, if treated well.
Your love doll will benefit from a good rub down from time to time. Simply put some baby oil on a paper towel and wipe down the doll. This should remove the large majority of stains. After oiling, wipe off any excess oil with a kitchen towel. Then use a large make-up brush to brush down your lifelike doll with baby powder / talcum powder. This helps to keep the skin of the love doll elastic and beautiful.
2. Clothing
For many of our clients, dressing their love doll is an essential part of the anticipation of spending time together. Choose clothing that has been washed several times and no longer bleeds colour. Your love doll likes light coloured fabrics. Dark fabrics in particular can bleed colour and lead to discolouration, especially when worn for long periods of time. After use, it is best to undress your love doll before storage. If you do want to use dark fabrics, please limit the amount of time your love doll wears them.
3. Storage
Just like a real person, your doll needs a soft place to rest. Store her lying on her back with her legs about hip-width apart on a soft surface. Her arms should be by her side and away from the body with the palms down. The styrofoam inserts of the box the doll came in are sufficient. So is a double folded blanket. This allows the material of the love doll to recover after use. In Germany and Switzerland, normal room temperature and humidity are usually sufficient. This way, your love doll will always be ready for your next moments together.
Sometimes smaller deformations can occur when the doll is exposed to pressure from a foreign object. These will disappear when the source of the deformation is removed.
4. Things your doll dislikes
Your love doll dislikes the following:
- Products or objects containing silicone (especially silicone-based condoms)
- Direct contact with silicone dolls. Keep TPE bodies and silicone heads separate at all times, unless the doll is designed for this.
- Sharp objects or nails
- Sitting or lying on hard surfaces for long periods of time
- Angled joints for long periods of time.
Your love doll is absolutely made to experience most positions or situations with you. However, just like a real person, a love doll does not like extreme angles or to remain in an angled position (e.g. sitting, kneeling or doggy style) for long periods of time (several hours). Just treat her like you would treat a normal person.
5. Your doll was made to be used
Only use water-based lubricant. It protects the material and enhances the feeling of natural warmth. If you use condoms, make sure they are silicone-free.
Love dolls do not like to be treated with sharp objects. This includes fingernails, metal objects or sharp plastic edges. Your love doll does not like being scratched. When picking up your love doll, be careful to not press your fingers or fingernails into the doll.
The joints of your companion doll are strong, flexible and sensitive. Avoid jerky movements or extreme bending.
6. Care as a ritual
Wash your love doll regularly with mild soap or shower gel after every use. Many owners choose perfumed soaps that they either use themselves or choose one that complement the character of the love doll. This can increase the satisfaction of the experience with the doll.
To clean out your love doll's mouth, vagina and anus, use a long shower head attachment or anal shower filled with soapy water to rinse out the openings. Once clean, insert a moisture absorbing stick (typically made of diatomaceous earth) to quickly soak up moisture. Turn the stick half a revolution after 30 minutes. After another 30 minutes, remove the stick. Optionally, insert a porous rod to let any remaining moisture evaporate.
Occasional oiling with baby oil gives your love doll will remove most stains. After oiling, dry gently and dust with baby powder.
Many of our customers in Switzerland and Germany tell us that the care ritual itself is a moment of connection. A love doll will never replace an actual person, but caring for something lifelike helps build connection, which can help reduce loneliness.
